Scharfenaker Urban Architecture was founded in 2012 in order to provide specialized design and consulting services to developers, private clients, and other design firms, especially for projects that are highly design oriented, with either a complex mix of uses or unique custom requirements.

Founder, Curtis J. Scharfenaker has an extensive background in Architecture and construction in the US and foreign markets. He has 27 years of experience in large scale mixed-use and destination retail/entertainment projects, as well as high end custom residential and educational projects.

He's completed more than 60 Million square feet of built projects in 15 countries, many of which required close coordination with market and economic research teams and a diverse array of specialty design consultants required for large scale and high profile projects. His portfolio includes:

He provides strategic, focused leadership from pre-design through construction, offering a perspective based on experience and accomplishment. His special areas of expertise include:
